Martim Joyce-Moniz
Ph.D. Candidate
I’m a Ph.D. candidate at the GOM lab, at the Computer Science department of the Université Libre de Bruxelles. My Ph.D. is funded by the Combinatorial Optimization: Metaheuristics and EXact methods (COMEX) project. My supervisors are Bernard Fortz, also from GOM, and Luís Gouveia, from the Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, in Portugal.Combinatorial Optimization, Mixed Integer Programming, Heuristics, Network Design, Telecommunications and Transportation. My thesis concerns the optimal design of switched Ethernet networks implementing the IEEE Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol. I’m also responsible for the logistics of the seminars, promoted by our lab.
